A Nevada Legacy - Gail Bradley
Gail Bradley '97 (nutrition) is a dietician with the VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System Ionnis A. Lougaris Medical Center in Reno who possesses a long-time interest in jazz music. The jazz bug first bit Gail during a live concert featuring saxophonist Theodore Walter "Sonny" Rollins. Since that time, her passions have run deep and recently led her to establish a planned gift with the University Foundation to fund the Cavenaugh-Bradley Family Endowment for Jazz Studies in honor of her parents and her love of jazz music.
The endowment will provide financial support to the University of Nevada, Reno's program in jazz and improvisational music. She hopes that her gift will perpetuate jazz music by inspiring students to find their creative expression and expand their boundaries through jazz education. Earnings from the endowment will be used to help send selected University jazz students to workshops at the School for Improvisational Music in New York City.
