A Nevada Legacy - James W. and Betty Hulse

James W. and Betty Hulse

Why am I member of the Nevada Legacy Society? We alumni often hear and use the term "alma mater" in a figurative sense. In my case, the University of Nevada, Reno is more than a symbolic mother. The intellectual nourishment I have received from her students, faculty, classrooms and libraries over fifty years flows in my blood stream.

In my time, the University has grown from a small cozy college (in the 1940's) into a respected and powerful institution for research, teaching and public service. Much of this has been possible because of private gifts. I hope my legacy will one day serve future generations of Nevadans as I have been served.
