The University Events Department is responsible for presidential and fundraising events at the University of Nevada, Reno. Fundraising events include the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation's Annual Banquet and Vintage Nevada Wine Tasting and Auction.
University of Nevada, Reno Foundation Annual Banquet
Begun in 1981 as a fund raising event for the University of Nevada, Reno Foundation, the Annual Banquet is the premiere social event in the community. This top quality banquet, held at Harrah's Casino Resort Reno, draws capacity audiences of 800 people annually and is typically sold-out in the spring prior to the dinner. Keynote speakers for the banquet are of the highest caliber and are widely respected in their fields and around the world.

Vintage Nevada Wine Tasting and Auction
Vintage Nevada raises money for scholarships at the University of Nevada, Reno. This is the premier wine tasting event in the area with more than 100 of the finest wineries from around the world participating. Guests have the opportunity to sample hundreds of wines, enjoy live entertainment and hors d'oeuvres, and participate in live and silent auctions featuring unique collector wines as well as a host of spectacular travel and merchandise packages.
